Emily Hepp

Emily Hepp

For nearly two decades, I’ve specialized in various aspects in the field of nursing, including oncology, palliative care, acute medical care, and wound and ostomy services. My career has been one of continuous learning, deepening my appreciation for the human capacity to heal.

I believe healing is tremendously personal. I work with clients to co-create individualized sessions that empower them on their journey toward wholeness. My approach emphasizes building trust and providing a safe, nonjudgmental space for growth. Drawing from my nursing background and personal experiences with mental health, I support clients in discovering their innate healing potential.

As a certified psilocybin facilitator through the Entheogen Institute, I bring a balanced perspective on psilocybin as a tool for transformation, through both scientific and mystical lenses while emphasizing the importance of preparation and integration to ensure a meaningful experience.

I am a certified yoga instructor, daily meditator, and avid journaler. I find grounding in these practices, especially when I’m outdoors in nature. They’ve enriched my understanding of the mind-body connection and fueled my commitment to holistic healing.

I look forward to meeting you and commend you on taking this step on your journey.

Josh Goldstein

Josh Goldstein

Josh Goldstein brings a wealth of diverse experience to this work, enabling him to meet individuals exactly where they are on their personal journeys. With an extensive background in both science and education, and 15 years of experience working in therapeutic environments, he adeptly guides individuals and groups as they delve into their inner landscapes. His nearly 30 years of personal engagement with plant medicine has afforded him profound insights into facing the various aspects of ourselves that too often linger in the shadows.

During his decade-long tenure as the academic director of a therapeutic boarding school, Josh gained extensive training and experience addressing a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, OCD, and PTSD.

As a facilitator for Bendable since its inception, Josh has overseen transformative experiences, notably facilitating the first “above ground”, legal group psilocybin ceremony for veterans in the United States. He has been instrumental in pioneering a groundbreaking collaboration with Project New Day, which is dedicated to supporting individuals grappling with Opioid Use Disorder. In June 2023, Josh proudly graduated with the inaugural cohort of trained psilocybin facilitators in Oregon. However, his journey in this realm began long before, enriched by over a decade of mentorship and training within a spiritual tradition that uses plant medicine as a sacrament. Today, he remains deeply committed to deepening his own practice while guiding others on their paths to healing and self-discovery.

Josh possesses a profound reverence for the transformative power of plant medicine, enabling access to innate healing wisdom within individuals. His calm and grounded presence creates an atmosphere where people feel safe to be authentic, vulnerable, and raw. Recognizing the challenges inherent in this work, Josh’s compassionate approach allows those in his care to feel seen and supported.

He invites others into the profound mysteries of life, championing the belief that plant medicine can be a powerful catalyst for personal exploration and healing. His work is continually navigating the realities that many of these practices are appropriated and practiced without proper credit given to the many generations of medicine workers that proceed the more recent widespread interest taking shape in the “West”. As such Josh looks into the crucial differences between appropriating and syncretic practices. Josh is a perpetual student, and is always looking to better understand how to improve his practice as a facilitator and spiritual being.

Ryan Reid

Ryan Reid

Ryan has been at the forefront of Oregon’s legal and licensed psilocybin movement, contributing to the early adoption and establishment of two of the first licensed service centers within the state. His journey began with a personal connection to the therapeutic benefits of psilocybin combined with ongoing talk therapy and mindfulness meditation. This foundation led him to co-found Bendable Therapy in early 2023, a non-profit dedicated to providing access and scholarships for individuals seeking psilocybin services to support their mental health goals. Ryan has been an active facilitator since the inception of Bendable Therapy, guiding participants through their transformative journeys.

Ryan believes that psilocybin experiences are a tool for individuals to access and explore their inner landscapes. He emphasizes a client-centered approach that prioritizes the participant’s freedom to navigate their own inner journeys without added ceremony or ritual, focusing rather on the insights gained from the experience and developing tailored practices that support the participant before and after their psilocybin journey. His sessions are customized to align with each participant’s unique objectives and intentions towards a profoundly personal and meaningful experience.

Ryan graduated from the first psilocybin cohort of the SoundMind Institute’s 8-month program in June of 2023, where he was immersed in a comprehensive curriculum covering various psychedelics and therapeutic modalities. His commitment to safety and ethical practice in the psilocybin field is further evidenced by his role as an advisor on the Healing Advocacy Fund safety committee, where he contributes to the safe and responsible rollout of psilocybin services nationwide.
Ryan’s insights and expertise are regularly sought at national psychedelic conferences, where he shares his vision for creating sustainable and accessible psilocybin businesses. His background as a business owner and licensed engineer in Bend, Oregon brings a unique, grounded, and systematic approach to his facilitation work. This perspective ensures that safety and stability are at the forefront of every session, providing a reassuring presence for those embarking on their psilocybin journeys.

Beyond his professional achievements, Ryan is a devoted practitioner of mindfulness meditation. He views psilocybin as a complementary tool that, when integrated with mindfulness practices, can lead to profound and lasting benefits.
In his personal time, Ryan finds solace and inspiration in nature, often seen walking with his dog along the Ponderosa-lined paths of the Deschutes River. This connection to the natural world mirrors his approach to therapy—grounded, reflective, and inherently healing.
